13 November 2003 The recently-released 2004 Adelaide Bride's Diary features an article and a two page spread of photos covering my and my husband's wedding, which took place in April 2003. Read text of article from Bride's Diary 2004 At our wedding the LHSS Teachers sang Ave Maria as the bridesmaid and flower girl walked down the aisle, followed by the Wedding March as I walked down the aisle. They also sang Come What May from the movie "Moulin Rouge" after the signing of the register, and I'll Be There at the reception. We used Billy Joel's Just The Way You Are as our bridal waltz. |

26 April 2003 My (Leanne Hoad) much-anticipated wedding to John Waller on Saturday 12 April (and the honeymoon) was sensational. A traditional ceremony at Adelaide's oldest church Holy Trinity Anglican included a magnificent rendition of the song Come What May from the Australian movie Moulin Rouge (gotta slip it in!) sung by the LHSS teaching staff, Lisa, Katie, Alli & Miranda. Lisa & Miranda also performed Ave Maria to open the ceremony. Everyone who attended was invited for refreshments in the church Parish Hall. It was very touching to see so many students and friends attend. This was followed by an exquisite reception at the Adelaide Hyatt Regency Hotel. The room was beautifully decorated with drapes, fairy lights and 'bud balls' by Lush Lighting, flowers by In Blooms and the Hyatt Regency florist. Many thanks to Kym from Somers Entertainment who professionally played the role of D.J. and M.C. for the evening. Matt "the Rat" from The Photography Room and John the video guy from Coconut Productions who never missed an opportunity to capture the memorable moments. At the reception, the teaching staff sang I'll Be There as recorded by Mariah Carey (you don't run a singing studio without providing a little entertainment of your own :-) ). We flew to Tasmania, Australia for a 10 day get-away-from-it-all honeymoon including time in Hobart, Port Arthur and Launceston. It was the perfect place for a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings with blue skies and sunshine all the way. |
