NEW TEACHER AT LHSS
Miranda Simonetti has joined the staff at LHSS as a singing teacher.
Miranda was excited to be asked to come on board last year and, after 18 months of intensive training, she recently commenced teaching at our Studio.
Given her years of experience as a student with us, she will contribute immensely to the quality and skills available at the Studio.
Welcome Miranda!

NEW TRAINEE TEACHERS
We also welcome on board Lisa Simonetti, Kelli-ann Blakers and Sara Dunstan as trainee teachers. They will join the teaching staff of the LHSS in 2002 after they have successfully completed an extensive 12 month training programme.


NEW STUDIO
Those who currently attend lessons will be aware that we have just opened a third teaching studio. All studios are fully equipped with a piano or keyboard, professional audio equipment, microphone and of course the wall of mirror!

NEW PREMISES
Next year, to cater for the growing number of students, we intend on relocating to larger premises to accommodate up to 5 teaching studios. We are looking within a 5 km radius of our current location. We'll keep you all updated.


'2001 NATIONAL SONG COMPETITION' WINNERS
A competition was held by Star Vision Entertainment on 18 Aug 2001 at Angle Park, SA.
10 competitors were from the LHSS and received 5 of the 11 placings.

Congratulations to all who entered and in particular to the winners:
JUNIOR SECTION
> Maddy Arthur - 1st place
> Kimberly Dibenedetto - 2nd place
ADULT SECTION
> Miranda Simonetti - 1st place
> Pat Thomas - 2nd place
DUO SECTION:
> Miranda Simonetti & Lisa Simonetti - 1st place

The 1st place winners Miranda, Lisa and Maddy Arthur will be representing SA for the National Title in Melbourne this November.

'2001 BALAKLAVA EISTEDDFOD' WINNERS:
This annual music festival was held in August this year at Balaklava, SA.

13 competitors were from the LHSS and received 14 placings.

Congratulations to the following winners:
Maddy Arthur, Kristen Bode,
Kimberly Dibenedetto, Cate Dyer, Corrine Spalding, Anthea Riley and Rachel Vidoni who scooped her sections with two 1st places & a 2nd place and was asked to perform in the 'Winners Concert'

CAMPBELLTOWN MAYORAL TALENT QUEST
Finals were held on Friday 21st September at the Campbelltown Function Centre, Montacute Road, Rostrevor, 7.30pm.

Finalists were:
Maddy Arthur, Kristen Bode, Tamika Innis, Lauren O'Shannessy, Katie Packer, Lisa Simonetti, Michael Simonetti & Levi
Kleeman, Antonetta Antonino & Veronica Varricchio & Jessica Varricchio Gemma Weedall.

Congratulations to Lisa Simonetti winner of the Senior Section and runner-up Katie Packer.
Levi Kleeman & Micheal Simonetti were equal runner-ups with Maddy Arthur in the Junior Section.

SHOWCASE 2001 will highlight the years achievements.

It will be held on Saturday 15 December 2001, 8pm at the Union Hall, Victoria Drive, University of Adelaide.
