Performing

The studio has many performing opportunities for those who are ready to take the next step of performing.

Backstage at the Arkaba at an end of year Showcase ConcertNo student is obliged to perform, however kids benefit from the experience in many ways including confidence, character building and making new friends.

Many adults aren't interested in performing. Some however have dreams of singing karaoke well, performing at a party, or gigging with friends. The performing opportunities offered by the Studio prepare you for anything you decide to do. Your friends will be surprised and delighted to hear you sing so well!

Antoinetta at the Arkaba Hotel at a Showcase ConcertA concert is held every month in the Studio's "Shed" live performing area. Singers will develop performing skills and gain the confidence needed for a professional performance. "The Shed" is fully equipped with microphones, PA system, stage lighting and stage blocks.

For students who are ready and willing to gig the Studio offers opportunities to sing at venues around Adelaide.

Many LHSS students compete at the annual Balaklava Eisteddfod in August each year.

The Studio is continually asked for experienced students to perform at events around the Adelaide metropolitan area.Lisa and Miranda backstage

Concerts and Workshops

Held in the “Live Gigging” area at the rear of the Leanne Hoad Singing Studio. Live concerts give our singers the experience performing in front of an audience in a live gig setting.

If you're a first time performer or haven't sung in front of anyone in a long time, you would do a Workshop to prepare yourself and help your confidence before you sing at the Concert directly after it. At the workshop you'll practice singing in front of the other singers and pick up on important performance and microphone tips before you perform to your family and friends at the concert just following the Workshop.

You only need to do one Workshop and then you can do as many concerts as you want (without doing the Workshop).

You will overcome the hurdles of singing in front of people and improve your performing skills. The live gigging area fits about 70 people and has a full sound system, staging, lighting etc to give you the full experience. You receive feedback from our experienced teachers to help your progress. You'll do a sound check before the concert.

You pay only a small fee to cover costs and for this you'll also get tickets to invite your family and friends.

These are held every few months. The Studio concerts for 2010 are:
