Adult group lessons are held after hours on weeknights. We limit the amount of students in each group to ensure value for money.

Groups lessons are for you if you:

• want to sing simply for fun and personal enjoyment–as a hobby, you aren't interested in a career.
• want to sing a lot better–we aren't interested in how talented you are. It is our goal however to take your voice (where it is at) and bring it to it's optimum.
• have no previous experience–we will teach you everything you need to know to sing well. You will hear considerable improvement.
• want to sing in the comfort of a group–you wont be singing by yourself.
• are exploring the possibilty of private lesson in the future–you can start with groups and progress to private lessons
• want to meet like-minded people–you will have alot of fun.

Two adult groups are available:
Beginners and Intermediates..

Beginners Group
No previous experience is required. You simply need to enjoy singing and want to do it better.

Each lesson you will learn new techniques and sing songs to practice them too.

You are taught techniques such as breathing, breath support, posture, low, middle and high registers, vocal warming up techniques and exercises. You may also use the microphone, breifly cover learning to read music, and learn what your voice range is–depending on the group's preferences. You will apply the techniques to songs carefully chosen by your teacher according to the groups musical style tastes and abilities.

A CD recording of the lesson is available for you take home each week–your own singing course at your finger tips to practice to. Simply bring a good quality blank CD-R to each lesson, or buy one from the studio for $2.50.

Most people enjoy themselves and are excited with the results, they do more courses. After completing the Beginners Group course you can graduate to the Intermediates Group course.

Intermediate Groups
This is for you if you have covered the starter techniques in the Beginners Course, or you have had singing lessons in the past.

With each lesson you will learn new techniques, building on what you have already learned, and sing songs to practice them to.

You move on from the basic techniques and cover techniques and skills to take your voice to the next level and make singing even more fun.

You will be taught techniques such as advanced breath control, thin and thick folds-the correct way to sing loud and soft safetly, vocal health-look after your voice so it lasts the long-haul, harmonies (singing in parts), techniques for maximum tonal quality (getting the best possible sound) and singing in tune. You may learn how to read music and become skilled in using the microphone.

Every lesson you will sing songs. putting into practice these techniques. Songs are carefully chosen by you teacher, according to the groups musical style tastes and abilities. song suggestions are welcome.

Experienced students may also perform with the group at concerts held in the Studio's 'live gigging area'. These performances are a lot of fun and build confidence-all in the comfort of the group.

Intermediate groups follow on from each other so you can continue to do as many Intermediate Group courses as you want. Students stay for years as they hear more results with each course and enjoy it so much.

Group lessons for kids.

5-7 year old

There are a number of after school classes available for 5- 7 year old. This age group is best suited to small groups of four - five. Call the Studio for times and vacancies. Lesson are held during the school term and cost $165.00 a term. A $50.00 deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is paid on the first lesson.

8-12 year old

The 8-12 year old group classes are held on Thursday nights after school. The student with no experience would start with the beginners group. The teacher will inform you when they are ready for the next level, the Intermediate group. Lesson are held during the school term and cost $165.00 a term. A $50.00 deposit is required to confirm the booking. The balance is paid on the first lesson. Numbers are limited in each group. Call the Studio regarding availabilty.
