At the Leanne Hoad Singing Studio, our Speech Production Course concentrates on the correct ways to produce sound when speaking.

Once you have mastered the correct speaking techniques, you will notice a distinct change in the way you speak. This will give you confidence when speaking-you will have the assurance you are doing it well.

You will learn to use the microphone and feel comfotable using it. You will also learn how to look after your voice.

We can tailor make a prpogramme to suit your needs so you get out of it what you want.

You will:

learn essential techniques required to speak more efficiently and safety
learn how to warm-up the voice and the keys to looking after it
learn the correct breathing techniques
learn the techniques required to alter the volume and quality of your voice to make it sound better
be given notes and exercises to support each lesson to assist your improvement
learn the techniques to make your voice last and not become hoarse
have the option of doing private lessons or with a group
speak with confidence because you know you are doing it correctly!
learn to use the mic and get plenty of practice
record each session as a record for future use to refer and practice

Breath support and techniques to control and adjust volume, which make listening to you a compelling experience for your audience
Correct posture and how it affects you as a speaker
Twang, nasal & non-nasal sounds

Vowels and consonants
How the voice box and vocal folds work

How to make your voice exciting and interesting to listen to

Anyone who wants to improve their voice so it doesn't become hoarse

Professional speakers such as corporate professionals, school teachers, sales people, telephonists, hairdressers, preachers ...anyone who uses their voice daily in their job

1 hour introductory session.

Maxi Workshop

4 hours (half day)

Completed in a half day for the time-conscious.

Can be taken in the morning, afternoon or during the day on Saturdays

Lite Workshop

4 x 1 hour (weekly)

This is recommended as it allows you to consolidate the techniques covered each week.

Can be taken in the morning, afternoon or during the day on Saturdays

You choose your time. Sessions are available during the day or evening on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays
Your workshop will be recorded for you so you have a copy of your course to not only practice to, but keep as a record of your great effort
Lessons can be done in a group or on a private one-on-one basis. You can also arrange a group
Group lessons are available at the Studio at certain times of the year. Numbers are kept to a minimum to encourage personal attention
The course is hands on. We will make sure you are doing everything covered correctly
You will be given handouts and notes to consolidate the material and techniques covered

Fee

Only $270.00 (inc 10% GST) for Maxi Workshop or Lite Workshop (4 hours)

To confirm booking a non-refundable deposit of $80.00 is required
Deposit is non-refundable.
Seven (7) working days is required to change Course time
It can be transferred to another person.

Cash, cheques made out to "Leanne Hoad Singing Studio", or major credit cards including EFTPOS are accepted.

Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard) payments can be made over the phone by calling the studio prior to the course.
